Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team!

Do you have accounting background, good computer skills and a knack for details? Are you well organized and adaptable to unexpected changes? If the answer is yes, keep reading!

In this position you will:

  • Assist with ERP system implementation.
  • Process payroll including all monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax reports and W-2s.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable processing including cash receipts.
  • Reconcile bank, journal entries and general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, including forecasts and variance reports.
  • Perform revenue recognition, grant accounting and billing.
  • Conduct analysis of financial data to produce business information used to support decisions.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Assist with preparation of work papers for annual audit.
  • Report and reconcile project/grant revenue and expenses as needed.
  • Handle miscellaneous accounting duties including data entry and spreadsheets.

 Here’s what you will need to bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required) and CPA (preferred), with 5+ years of progressive work experience.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles for non-profits organizations (preferred).
  • Ability to understand contracts and handle confidential information.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and staff, outside vendors and collaborators.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with close attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills utilizing NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) or other integrated accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
